O'Hare Child Development Center
O'Hare Child Development Center is a secure building near O'Hare airport nestled in a park-like setting well off the main road. We have a beautiful setting where children can observe subtle changes in nature throughout the year. The classrooms have direct access to outdoors and many windows with a view of the lake. Our goal is building partnerships with parents. We believe the cornerstone of partnership is communication. Parents are always welcome at the center.
O'Hare Child Development Center has provided the highest quality care and education that parents have trusted for more than 22 years. Teachers are loving, tenured, experienced professionals dedicated to strengthening families by providing the best individualized care and education to their children. In fact, the first employee to be hired for this center remains today as one of the classroom leaders. The size of our center lends itself to all the staff knowing the children and families of all the classrooms.
Through primary care giving, children, families and teachers become well acquainted with each others learning styles and temperaments. Through observation and assessment children's interests and emerging skills can be planned, implemented through activities and materials available throughout the classroom environment and assessed. A variety of optional programs offered give children opportunities to be exposed to different experiences such as yoga, clay, music and creative movement.
We are a NAEYC accredited program. Our parent board is the O'Hare Area Federal Employee Child Care Learning Center, Inc. We also offer discounts to federal employees.
